Apartment, Reimersholme, Stockholm
Home of a family with two children on the island of Reimersholme, Stockholm. A slight alteration to the overall plan was made by adding a library walkway, from which both children’s rooms are entered. An empty corridor was transformed into a storage room, a typical solution for the Swedish 1940's, with custom made wardrobes, cleaning cabinet and a semi-open storage for everyday objects. Walls and custom made furnishings were painted in mild hues of green, apricot and blue.
The family’s favorite grey sofa was restored with a new blue fabric from Kvadrat, giving it new life for many more years. Photo: Marcus Palmqvist
