March 2024, NAVET at 10 Corso Como in Milan

10 Corso Como presents the Alchemical Plan in the Project Room. A choice of designer pieces for sale, selected by Domitilla Dardi following the principle of changing shapes, where animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms merge; and that of the four colors of the alchemical process.

In a chromatic sequence that goes from black to white (identifying elements of 10 Corso Como), up to yellow and red, the signature objects - tableware, accessories, small furnishings - are at the same time functional tools and repositories of ancient symbols.

January 2024, Art installation

We created a giant puzzle of recycled glass and ceramic bricks, simultaneously embodying fluidity and frozen moments. Every brick was designed and made custom for the project, and placed on the wall facing the swimming pool.

Made in Sweden for Årjängs Kommun.
Manufactured by Glasbolaget and Porslinsfabriken in Lidköping.
Installed by PEAB.

December 2023, Kristallen

In December 2023, we installed Kristallen (The Crystal), our first public art installation in Mantorp, southwest of Stockholm. The sculpture is made from concrete, fiberglass, and stainless steel, and takes inspiration from the former use of the site, a crystal workshop.

Commissioned by Bostadsbolaget, Mjölby, and manufactured by Storverkstan.

December 2023, Ice drop!

Ice, Candle Holder

A candle holder made from recycled crystal glass, poured and shaped by
hand making every piece unique. The foundry is run on surplus methane and uses leftover glass from the Swedish artisan glass industry. The candle holder is part of a continuous exploration of small-scale artisan production where we follow the material in a real-time design process.

Every candle holder is unique and signed by NAVET and available in a limited edition to purchase in our shop.

April 2023, NAVET x Vero @ Milan Design Week
The drop 4 in the spaces of the brand new Vero store and Convey

D4-NVT-ES 01
Equilibrium Shelf

Inspired by the word Vero, truth, Navet explored its meaning and continuous search, spanning across fields of science, art and nature. Through the analysis of mathematics and physics’ theories and their visual expressions, the group developed pieces that are interesting and functional at the same time in both personal or public spaces. The shelf gives shape to the idea of perfect equilibrium by juxtaposing a rectangular aluminum ledge balanced on a solid ash wood sphere cut in two planes. Playing with different volumes the elements create a game of tensions between contrasting characteristics: heavy and light, solid and volatile, natural and manufactured, searching for a perfect equilibrium.

Vero is the young furniture brand, advocate of a new era of Italian design that believes in the values of informality and transparency. For this year’s Milan Design Week Vero hosts its community in the new store in Via Felice Casati 3, Porta Venezia, and in the new space CONVEY in Via dell’Aprica 12.

February 2023, NAVET x Årjäng

We are happy to announce that we were invited by the municipality of Årjäng, close to the Norwegian border, to create a work of art for the new swim and health center opening in spring 2024.

In the process of developing the design, we used AI to combine fragments from our previous explorations within the field of glass and ceramics, in order to create an idea base for the new piece. We then remixed it manually and created a 3D illustration of the work-in-progress art piece.

February 2023, NAVET x Vero

On February 16th, the design brand Vero will open its first store in Milan and reveal new colors for the existing collection along with a new drop, in collaboration with NAVET.

D3 - NVT - S01 The Endless Universe Shelf
Inspired by the word Vero (= truth), we explored its meaning and continuous search, spanning across fields of science, art, and nature. Through the analysis of mathematics and physics theories and their visual expressions, we develop pieces that are interesting and functional at the same time. The shelf is an expression of the endlessness of the universe, made with powder-coated metal and composed of a single module that can be combined into infinite variations depending on different needs and spaces. The chromatic palette uses four colors: pistachio, cinnamon, ultramarine, and cream, expanding the possibilities of the object.

February 2023, Älvsjö Gård, Stockholm Furniture Fair

We were invited to exhibit at Älvsjö gård, a new platform for collectible design and research, housed within one of the oldest still existing manor houses in Stockholm, dating back to the 16th century, strategically located near the fairgrounds. The initiative has been mentioned as a well-needed bridge between mass production and smaller-scale limited editions, adding new energy to this year’s edition of the Stockholm Furniture Fair.

We showed furniture, objects, and a sneak preview of an upcoming collaboration.
